As a wedding photographer, there is something truly magical about capturing love stories at this stunning Staffordshire venue. Amy and Sam’s wedding in April was no exception. Even the rain could not dampen their spirits or stop us from creating some unforgettable portraits in Sandon Hall’s incredible gardens.

From the moment I arrived, I knew this day was going to be special. Amy and Sam have an infectious energy that made photographing them an absolute joy. Their excitement and warmth radiated through every part of the day and I felt so lucky to be a part of it.

It was a rainy day but we were determined to make the most of the breathtaking grounds. Sandon Hall’s gardens, even in the rain, were vibrant and the rhododendrons were in full bloom. Armed with a couple of umbrellas and a sense of adventure, we hopped aboard the golf buggies to venture outside and I am so glad we did. The soft overcast light was perfect for romantic portraits and Amy and Sam embraced every moment.

Wedding photos were their number one priority and it showed. We carved out time throughout the day to capture a wide variety of images, from intimate moments in the gardens and elegant staircase shots to joyful group photos and relaxed couple portraits in the grounds. Sandon Hall offers so many beautiful backdrops and we made full use of them all.

Inside, the grandeur of the house provided the perfect contrast to the wild romance of the gardens. The ceremony was filled with emotion and the reception had the most wonderful happy energy. It was one of those weddings where you can feel the love in the room from start to finish.
