Sophie and Simon’s Winter Wedding at Lodore Falls Hotel
Sophie and Simon’s wedding at Lodore Falls Hotel was cold, clear and beautiful. Snow sat on the mountain tops and Derwentwater was the most incredible shade of blue.
Lodore Falls Hotel is a stunning Lake District wedding venue, set right on the edge of the lake and surrounded by mountains. It feels calm, luxurious and provides the most glorious view of the stunning Lakes landscape.
After the ceremony, we headed down to Lodore jetty for the couples session. It was minus two and freezing but so worth it. I worked quickly to ensure none of us got too cold and am so impressed with how Sophie and Simon took it all in their stride. Absolute heroes.
Once the sun had set, we stepped back outside into the freezing night for twilight photos under the pergola. Sophie and Simon giggled as they twirled, enjoying the chance to take in the day together.
I’ve been wanting to photograph a wedding just like this one for a very long time, so it was such an honour to join Sophie and Simon for their big day.
